Kenpo – Ken means Fist, and Po means Law, thus translated into: “Law of the Fist”. Better defined by the Japanese dictionary, “The Constitution” or “The Basic Laws” of an organized governing body. “Law”, a divine commandment or a revelation of the will of God. The Kenpoist must practice and follow according to the command of their God. “Fist” represents our knowledge, or physical ability which will enable us to defend ourselves against an aggressive adversary.
