'''Adriano Directo Emperado''' (June 16, 1926 - April 4, 2009) Known as “Sijo”[[Adriano D. Emperado]] one of five Martial Artist who formed the [[Black Belt Society]] of Hawaii, along with [[Walter Choo]] a welterweight boxing champion and [[Tang Soo Do]] practitioner; [[Frank Ordenez]], a [[Judo]] and [[Jujitsu]] master; [[Joe Holke]], a [[Kudokan Judoka]] practitoner; [[Clarence Chang]], a Northern and Southern [[sil-lim Kung Fu]] stylist. By trial and error, the system of [[Kajukenbo]] would gradually be developed starting in 1947. 

The name [[Kajukenbo]] stood for various parts that comprise the [[Black Belt Society]]. “K A” stood for [[Karate]], “JU” for [[Judo]], “KEN” for [[Kenpo]], and “BO” for [[Chinese Boxing]]. These arts together make up one of the toughest forms of self-defense to date.
